Spiro Arts central studio building.
Spiro Art's central studio building is a 1,900 sq. ft. newly restored mining building featuring large studio sinks, two bathrooms, computer controlled heat/fan system, 22-ft high exposed beam ceiling, and lots of natural light. The studio is a low-tech and non-equipment-based facility, though basic equipment such as large easels, taborets, and worktables are available. If there is any question about compatibility with your medium/process, or concerns regarding special equipment you may wish to bring, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Resident artists have 24hr access to their studio's with a provided key. Visual resident artists are provided approx 600 sq. feet of semi-private space. Writers, musicians, and researchers live and work in a two-bedroom apartment. One bedroom can be your designated work area.
Workshop participants typically meet for class from 9am-5pm, the instructor must be present for after hours studio access. All participants receive plenty of personal workspace, including wall space to hang work.
