Artist Instructor Workshop Proposals
Spiro Arts is currently accepting workshop proposals from professional artists working in a variety of mediums and styles for our June-Aug. 2010 summer workshop series. Spiro Arts workshops are taught by accomplished artists and educators, who share their passion, skills and experience with students through full-days of art instruction. Please review our workshop descriptions and facilities page to learn more about our program. All workshop proposals must include the following information:
I. Contact info: Artist phone number(s) and email address, artist website/blogs.
II. Resume: Please attach a current artistic and/or professional resume, c.v.
No more than three pages. Please include prior teaching experience
III. Proposal: Include a potential Course Title:
Brief workshop description- No more than one page, including clear
course objectives for participants. List number of days and availability- ie. five, seven day, or two-three day mini workshop.
IV. Requirements: material, equipment, and space necessary to facilitate project proposal. (Be sure and include any special studio requirements; and indicate whether power tools or toxic materials will be used).
V. References: Two professional references, include title and contact information.
VI. Work Samples: Ten images of current work, and two images of former students work (12 total). Please send digital images (jpeg only) on a CD. Each digital image should be no more than 1024 pixels in either direction at 72 DPI, and clearly label your name on the disk. For time-based work, please send five (5) minutes on a DVD along with your name and title of the work labeled on the disk. Only the first five minutes of any DVD will be reviewed. Disk may include multiple works.
All workshop proposals must be submitted by Febuary 19th 2010. All applicants will be notified by March 30th, 2010.
